The past year has been one of dealing with great loss. The combation of lossing many elements of my life at one time has sometimes been overwhelming. Lately however, I’ve been seeing some blessings that without the pain and change would not exist. For that, I am thankful to God for bringing me through the heartache. Praying that I can keep God’s bigger prospective in view more often…
Blessing in loss
October 21, 2010Fringe: Other World Olivia – lame
October 5, 2010So, we’ve seen our second episode of Fringe this season and I would say that it was better. For me the comedic relief provided by Dr. Walter Bishop is great. His lack of social graces is marvelous. While overall, I would say the show was back on track after the season opener, one point must be made. Rant warning, [you asked for it
]: The Olivia that has crossed over to our world is so lame and unbelievable. Her behavior is so different from our Olivia it is unrealistic that Walter, Peter, Astrid, and Broyles have not noticed. Our Olivia would never have used a make-out session to distract someone; she is far more creative than that. Her behavior is so obviously different, it’s just unbelievable that no one has noticed. The writers better fix this or another good show will fall to the way side because the audience is being treated like we’re stupid…
Quick Thoughts on New TV Season
September 27, 2010So with new shows starting and old favorites returning, I just thought I would share some thoughts…
Chuck: A returning favorite it was average, but I think off to a good start.
Hawaii 5-O: Surprise of the season. With no expectations going in, reuseing the theme song
and the catch phrase “Book ‘em Dan-O” it will be worth another watch.
House: I’m not really a fan of this show anyway, but it was the worst episode of House I’ve ever seen.
Bones: Average, they’ve got me for another season.
Fringe: This favorite is off to a rocky start. It was hard making the transition to the “other world.” I missed the Walter Bishop I’m accustom too. They better fix this…
Community: Without the return on Senor Chang this episode would have fell on its face.
The Office: I just can’t believe what they get away with in this office. Laughed out loud; expectations met.
30 Rock: Delivered standard funniness.
Outsourcing: This one has potential; stay tuned.
Survivor: I’m not really a Survivor watcher, but I tuned in for Jimmy Johnson and it was enjoyable.
Law & Order: SUV: Delivered like Law & Order always does; met expectations.
The Event: This one didn’t live up to the hype. I’ll watch another week or two but they have a long way to go…
Well, I think that is it for now. Still looking for to Law & Order: LA…
Someone once said
September 25, 2010I heard a friend say this once and it still makes me ponder…
“…one day I will wake up with a bunch of kids and a beautiful wife, well, probably not, sometimes the boy just dreams of becoming a man…but the boy will always just be a boy…”
